Family Frolics! Pink Pig Cakes!
The rain has poured this week and has made venturing out for Family Frolics a bit tricky. We have gone swimming a couple of time but the whole permission to photograph thing is so complicated it is hardly worth the effort.
Having multiple toddlers is tough! I know I have to keep up with them everyday so I’ve always tried to make my health a top priority. It’s hard to find time to workout as a mom, but if you start the habits while you’re still pregnant, they will carry over into your schedule after your little one is born. You might be too tired in the 1st trimester, but you’ll want to start a best pregnancy work out guide and make plans to transition into postpartum workout at home after you’ve recovered from delivering. A lot of people don’t realize that it doesn’t take much time to workout and stay healthy while pregnant with pregnancy hiit workout second trimester. Besides, it gives you an excuse to go shopping for postpartum workout clothes!
So this week we entertained ourselves with play dates and baking, and on one occasion both at the same time.
I got this idea from Noah’s pre-school when he came home with a pink pig cake and I thought it was a clever little idea and then whilst watching Jungle junction, BBsaid his cake looked like Zooter and we should make some more Zooter cakes.
They are just so simple.
Make up a batch of fairy cake mixture – we made chocolate ones. Literally whip the ingredients together and if you have a food processor it is even easier!
- 4oz self raising flour
- 6oz butter
- 6oz castor sugar
- 2oz cocoa powder
- 3 eggs
- Half a tsp baking powder
Put in cake cases and bake for 15 minutes on 160 for a fan oven.
Once cooled we decorated them with pink icing and pink chocolate buttons for ears and a nose and silver balls for the eyes!
You can see they had fun!
Last week saw some lovely entries and this week I am featuring Emma from Mummymummymum who brings a really fabulous easter egg make to you. As a chocoholic this really appealed to me and I think my kids would love to make their very own egg for Daddy this year!
So the Family Frolics linky is open and I would love you to join it! Show me what you have been up to this week.
